Moorside visit to China in March 2012
As part of the fundraising for the forthcoming visit to Shanghai, the International Leaders group, who are going to China, provided a bag packing service at Asda in Cheadle. The pupils provided an excellent service and were rewarded with donations amounting to just over £200. Well done to the pupils and a big thank you to the staff and customers of Asda in Cheadle.

How Is Moorside Doing Compared To Other Schools In The Area?
Exam Results
In 2011 our 5A*-C GCSE pass rate was 80%. Our 5A*-C with English and Maths was 55%. Pupils average capped point score (best 8 subjects) has improved year on year to 352 in 2011 and has been significantly above the National average for the last 3 years. The 3A*-A pass rate was our best ever at 31%
At our Moorlands VI Form centre, Year 13 Moorside students performed very well and achieved an A*/B pass rate of 52% and an A*-E pass rate of 100%. The Average Point Score per Entry was 208.2 and Average Point Score per Candidate was 908.3. These were both an improvement on last year. The Overall Average Point Score per Entry for all students at the VI Form was 207.2 and Average Point score per Candidate was 922.1
