COVER SUPERVISOR

Grade 5 

Actual Salary £ 17,029

 32.50 hours per week term time only

Moorside High School is an over- subscribed, smaller than average 11-18 mixed comprehensive with a shared Sixth Form on the edge of the Staffordshire Moorlands.
 
The school was rated as good in the Ofsted January 2017 inspection.  Pupil’s outcomes at the end of key stage 4 have placed us above, or well above average of schools nationally for the last 3 years. 
 
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor from September 2020 to provide short-term cover for absent teachers. The successful candidate will generally cover lessons of any subject, set high expectations to motivate and challenge students whilst managing behavior effectively, promoting a positive learning environment.  Full support and training will be provided.
 
In periods where cover is not required the successful candidate will support in the classroom as directed.

TEACHING ASSISTANT GENERAL

LEVEL 2

14% of students are on the SEND register and a dedicated team of 9 Teaching Assistants, an Assistant SENCo and SENCo work with these students. 
 
The successful candidate would ideally have previous experience of working with children with SEN needs in a school setting. You will need to demonstrate that you are flexible, resilient and have a genuine commitment to special needs education.
