Key Stage 3

In Key Stage 3 all pupils will study Citizenship in years 7 and 8. At present, the pupils have one lesson every two weeks.

The Key Stage 3 curriculum is based around rights and responsibilities, how the UK is governed, the process of law and our global responsibilities.

Year 7

Autumn What is Citizenship and how did the UK's democracy develop?
Spring How can citizens work together to improve their communities and what can i do to improve my community?
Summer Why are human rights important and why is it important to celebrate diversity? 

Year 8

Autumn How is the United Kingdom run and how can I get involved in politics?
Spring How does the law affect me and why are the freedoms of UK citizens so important?
Summer What is my role as a global citizen and why is money management so important?
