GCSE Citizenship students plan and carry out a citizenship action to identify and tackle a social issue facing their local community or their wider society. Students are encouraged to work independently to plan and carry out their own campaign and make a positive impact on their communities. This citizen action is then assessed through the ‘Citizenship in Action’ exam. |
Studying Citizenship is a statutory requirement for all KS3 and KS4 students. This requirement is met in KS3 through Citizenship lessons. For the students who do not opt to study Citizenship as a GCSE at KS4, students meet their Citizenship requirement through Citizenship sessions during PM form-time.
