​The school prepares pupils well for their next steps in education through effective careers advice.  Pupils say that they feel well prepared for their future and responses to pupil questionnaires further confirm this.  Most pupils at key stage 4 move on to appropriate courses, such as sixth form, college and apprenticeships.  OFSTED 2017

To demonstrate Moorside's commitment to providing outstanding and impartial careers information, advice and guidance to all students, we employ a full time Level 6 qualified adviser, Mr Gordon.  He supports all students from Years 7 to 11, regarding their choices to help them prepare for the future.

The Deputy Headteacher, Mrs Grant, leads on all careers matters on behalf of the Senior Management Team.

In 2017, 134 Year 11's left school.  In November 2017 there were 0% NEET.  88% of students were in full-time education, 11% were in an apprenticeship and 1% was in employment with no training.  (In 2016 we had 1.5% NEET and in 2015).  The Staffordshire figure for NEET in November 2017 was 1.1% and the National figure was 6.2%.
